ingredients
½ cup dark brown sugar
¼ cup smoked paprika
½ tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1-2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
mix it!
Combine these ingredients for your next barbecue. It works well for oven-baked pork ribs or on the grill. Try it on chicken, too!
I typically double the recipe to have on hand for the next time, however, it needs to be in an airtight container so the brown sugar doesn’t harden.
Most importantly—do not contaminate the rub by touching meat and reaching back into the rub. Separate out the amount you need for your current recipe before touching the meat.
