1 pound Italian sausage
1 6-oz can tomato paste
1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes
4 cups of chicken broth
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 onion, chopped
1 red or green bell pepper, chopped
2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded

ham, chopped
mozzarella and/or parmesan cheese

Brown the Italian sausage in a large skillet and drain off the excess grease.
Place the sausage in a crock pot and top with the remaining ingredients except for the shredded cheese.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
Stir in the shredded cheese. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Serve with French bread or garlic bread for dipping!
